A gooey, indulgent and simple sweet treat
FULL STORY ======================================================================
As soon as the nights start drawing in, I immediately go in search of comforting, indulgent recipes to help me cope with the colder, darker months.
In my years testing the best air fryers , Ive uncovered some absolute gems like these pumpkin cheesecake enchiladas but mine and my sons current go-to sweet treat are these air fryer smores.
They taste like theyve come straight from a campfire, minus the smoke and the mess, and they take just 10 minutes from start to finish. Being in the UK, I swapped the traditional Graham crackers for digestives. Theyre thicker but they give the smores a buttery sweetness and a hint of caramel that works really well.
Theyre everything I love about the original but made with a touch more refinement and zero outdoor effort making them great for an easy weekend dessert, a movie night, or even a late-night sugar fix.
I made these in a Ninja Foodi Max air fryer, but whether youre using a
compact model or a larger basket, this recipe is forgiving and quick an
ideal starting point if youre curious about air fryer baking or just craving something comforting. Ingredients (Image credit: Victoria Woollaston) Graham crackers / digestive biscuits two per smore Large marshmallows one per
smore Chocolate one per smore Equipment Air fryer I used the Ninja Foodi
Max Parchment paper Spatula or tongs Method

Best of My Love (Remastered) - The Emotions
Due to not being able to readily buy Graham crackers in the UK, I substituted for digestive biscuits but any sweet cracker or biscuit will work. Similarly, in my family the bigger the marshmallows the better, but they can be hard to work with. Finally, choose any chocolate you like. I like using sea salt or orange-flavored chocolate but my boys love regular milk chocolate. 1. Heat your air fryer
Set your air fryer to 400 F / 200 C. Put four biscuits into the basket. You dont need to put them on parchment paper but it does make the smores easier
to remove when theyre hot. 2. Melt the chocolate (Image credit: Victoria Woollaston)
Top each biscuit with a square of chocolate. Air fry for 1-2 minutes just until the chocolate starts to soften and melt. Watch closely to make sure the chocolate doesnt burn. 3. Toast the marshmallows (Image credit: Victoria Woollaston)
Place one marshmallow on top of each melted chocolate biscuit and cook for another 23 minutes, or until the marshmallows are golden brown and puffy. 4. Assemble and serve (Image credit: Victoria Woollaston)
Remove the smores carefully from the air fryer. Top each with another digestive biscuit, press gently to sandwich together and serve immediately while warm and gooey.
Tip: If you like them slightly less messy and soft, chill the smores for a minute or two before eating. The chocolate will firm slightly, giving a balance of crunch and melt.
