• Anoter strange one!

From Rug Rat@80:774/5.1 to All on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 23:35:20
I noticed that the receive DATE is way off in Email I recieve via FIDONet!

The dates come accross from 2061!

Local mail is not affected and shows the correct date/time.

    Has anyone seen this before?

Check to make sure your locale in Workbench is set correctly. I seem to recall issues with my system at first with zip not working and other strange things. When I set the locale correctly all the issues I was having went away..

Hey I'm getting that too, in fact all the dates are whacked, not in order, etc. It's worked that way since I started trying to get FTNs to work. It does appear that some amiganet echoes come in in order with a variety of formats, but looks like chronilogical, but most Fidonet echoes are screwy like Rug Rat said. K-Guide do you know why?

    Thanks

You are indeed correct on this issue. I just tested by sending a netmail from my Mystic system to this point system and the date stated July 27, 2061.. I will post on Futureworld also saying what is going on..

Yes, you are indeed not insane.. LOL What shocks me is this has never been found. Unless this is a BinkD issue that is putting the wrong date on the messages..

Not likely simply for the fact that e-mail sent to a non C-Net board does not have this issue.
