• Running a Microsoft Program on Linux

From Mike Dippel@954:895/1 to Nightfox on Friday, January 30, 2026 21:54:02
In the past, I put out a challenge to Linux users to try and get a specific Windows
program running. That program can be found at: https://hobbyline.com/web_trial.zip

I get a required Microsoft program necessary to allow it to run, which I can't seem to do.

I would switch to Linux as a primary OS if I could get it to run. I use this program
exclusively to design my customer's websites.

If interested, could you download that program and try to get it running? (This is
something that I may have asked you in the past. If so, please excuse me). It's a
genuine Microsoft program so it isn't harmful to your computer.

I am currently using Zorin Linux and it looks promising. I have tried bottles and wine
with no luck. Maybe you can help.
