  • Deisel Fuel Prices

    Well, our government has made it very difficult to travel in our motorhome. I am sorry but
    I can't afford to pay 6.29 per gallon of fuel when I only get about 7 miles per gallon.

    Because we belong to a Winnebago group, we do have short trips once each month. This
    allows us to travel short distances and be able to enjoy the company of out friends.

    Our rallies always include organized activities that are fun for us "old" folks. Camping is
    fun, just a little more expensive than it used to be.

    That is interesting and nice. When I was younger, Winnebagoes (and similar vehicles) seemed more popular in this area. I do still see some motor homes and large trailers. Even when they were really popular, I don't remember hearing about Winnebago groups. Glad you all are able to at least make short trips and enjoy time with friends.

    We do short trip rallies once each month from November through May. The longest we travel is about 100 miles or so, but generally it is a maximum of 50 or so.

    We also like to go to Naples for the U.S. Open Pickleball championships once a year. That is about 150 miles each way. Hopefully diesel prices will come down before our next trip there. As soon as they do come down, we will certainly fill up the tank.
