• What can I do when my blood sugar is too high all day?

9 ways to lower blood sugar. Diabetics, please take a look:

    -

    1. Drink more water

Increasing the amount of water you drink can dilute the blood and help lower blood
    sugar concentration.

    -

    2. Eat neither too fast nor too slow

Control the eating time to 20-30 minutes, slow down. Eat vegetables first, then eat.
Also, when cooking, use less oil no matter what dish you are cooking.

    -

    3. Eat protein foods

Eat an egg and drink a glass of milk every day to supplement protein, which is beneficial
for controlling blood sugar and blood pressure.

    -

    4. Get enough sleep

Get enough sleep every day, 6-8 hours is appropriate. If you sleep less than 6 hours, it
will affect blood sugar. Many diabetics ignore the impact of sleep on blood sugar.

    -

    5. Snacks, don't overeat

Eat 80% full at each meal, and arrange two snacks a day, which can balance nutrition
    and stabilize blood sugar.

Daily snacks: 7 almonds, or 2 walnuts. Or 1 cup of yogurt, or fist-sized low-sugar fruits
(such as strawberries, avocados, apples, grapefruits, pears, peaches, etc.), to ensure
that the energy does not exceed 150 kcal.

    -

    6. Have green leaves at every meal

Eat more vegetables such as celery, spinach, lettuce, and bitter melon to increase the
intake of dietary fiber. You can also pair them with kelp, seaweed, black fungus,
mushrooms and other fungi and algae foods

    -

    7. Dont eat three types of staple foods

    - Dont eat sticky staple foods (rice cakes, glutinous rice cakes, donkey rolls, etc.)

    - Dont eat staple foods with a lot of oil (fried dough sticks, fried cakes, etc.)

    - Dont eat sweet pastries and sugar-free pastries. Sticky staple foods raise blood sugar
quickly, and the more you eat oily staple foods, the better they taste.

Sweet pastries and sugar-free pastries are made of refined white rice flour, which are
not conducive to controlling blood sugar.

    -

    8. Self-discipline in eating🍽️

Control your appetite when eating. If you can't control it, test your blood sugar.

If your blood sugar is high, you will be "full" naturally. If your blood sugar is normal, eat
a little to satisfy your craving.

    -

    9. Exercise for 30 minutes after dinner

After a busy day, you should also do moderate exercise after dinner, usually about 30-45
minutes. You can choose to walk, brisk walk, Pilates, etc., just sweat a little.

    Mike,

9 ways to lower blood sugar. Diabetics, please take a look:

Right now, my sugar has ranged between 80 and 130, and I test
first thing in the morning. After my next A1C check in late
October, I'll see if I need to test after every meal.

    1. Drink more water

The late W.C. Fields noted "I don't drink water. Fish [have sex]
in it". <G> I'll drink it when I'm out of the low calorie, low
sugar powdered drink mix, or for a quick swig, but I'm just not
fond of it. My late wife, who was type 1 diabetic, drank water
    line a fish!!

    2. Eat neither too fast nor too slow

When I worked for Burger King 45 years ago, it usually happened
then when I started my break after what I thought was the lunch
rush, a bus pulled up. I had to wolf down the food, and get back
on the clock. That's probaly why I have acid reflux today.

    3. Eat protein foods

I'm doing that with the Starkist Tuna Salad packs, with the
flavors of Deli Style, Bacon Ranch, Hickory Smoke, Honey BBQ,
Herb N Garlic, and Lemon Pepper...adding some Kraft Sweet Honey
BBQ sauce to it for flavor. There are some "hot varieties",
    which I don't care for.

    4. Get enough sleep

The only time I get that is when I'm sedated. I end up being
awakened by nature, nightmares, nocturia, or a combination of
    those 3.

    5. Snacks, don't overeat

I've been munching on these sandwich cookies for my sweet
tooth, but don't do ice cream anymore, as I think I've become
    lactose intolerant.

    6. Have green leaves at every meal

I have to watch the lettuce, as if I eat too much, it's like
I'm eating prune juice. I would love to have a nice grilled
chicken salad every meal, but I don't want to spend the rest
of my day in the bathroom.

    7. Don t eat three types of staple foods

It's rare I have sweets anymore. I did order an assortment
of Little Debbie snacks from Amazon, but it got delayed in
shipment. So, it's supposed to arrive Saturday, but I'm going
to be out of pocket all day, so the porch pirates may get it
instead. It was scheduled to arrive today...so if it's not
here when I get back tomorrow evening, I'll either request
    a reshipment or a refund.

    8. Self-discipline in eating

The main time I do that is when I've run out of food, and
had to fast. What I get on disability doesn't go very far.

    9. Exercise for 30 minutes after dinner

Unfortunately, with being allergic to stinging insects, and
that I can sunburn in 10 minutes, I rarely spend time outside
    anymore.
