I have suffered from Afib for years and have had several cardioverts in the past. I spoke
with my cardiologist about the Watchman device which would be implanted in you heart
to prevent a sudden blood clot from entering your system causing a possible stroke.
Today's procedure was one where they put you out and enter orally to send a camera to
the heart so they can measure that area of the heart where the device would be implanted.
The results are that I can go ahead with the procedure late next month.
The end result is that I can hopefully get off blood thinners which can be quite
expensive, and just go on a baby aspirin.
