• What are statins, and how safe are they?

From Mike Dippel@999:1/1 to All on Friday, October 17, 2025 12:41:30
Statins are cholesterol-lowering drugs that block an enzyme involved in cholesterol
production, helping reduce LDL and lower the risk of heart attack or stroke.

Theyre generally considered safe for most people, though some may experience muscle
pain, liver enzyme changes, or digestive issues.

    Your thoughts?

I have taken a few and had the muscle pain in my legs. But the one I'm on now seems to work well, and no muscle pain. Now I have knee joint pain due to bone on bone joint/arthritis.

Also think I'm developing something, or my weight is causing pain in the tops of my feet quite often. I've tested for gout before and came back negative; but my father had it so wonder ... others have said neuropathy can cause such pain. So I guess I'll have to check that out next.
