• Does Mystic have an Event log?

From Jeff Earle@21:1/216 to All on Saturday, June 14, 2025 14:02:08
    Hello All,
I searched and don't see any reference to Mystic having an Event Log file. Does it?
If not, how would one create an Event log?
Reason being, I have a lot of events that run at midnight or other times and I am not able to see them run to actually know if they are working as intended. Almost all of them run a batch file, most are door maintenance, but others post files and such.
Looking through the log is just not doable, so much is happening at once. De-cyphering everything is at best a losing battle.
    Ideas?

... As a matter of fact, it IS a banana in my pocket!

Closest thing I've found is the mis.log in mystic/logs

Yeah, that is what I refering to that was at best un-decypherable since so much is going on at once. Example, if you poll force all of the networks you have, receive mail from every one of them, the log is so mixed up with entries from each poll as it happens I can't figure which entries in the log belong to each poll.
That's why I'm trying to figure out a way to create an event.log for all my events. I'm leaning towards writing batch scripts for each event, start times, endtimes, trapping error levels, etc. Then echo everything to a .log for me to view later.
I'm sure there may be a better way but batch scripts is all I know at this time.

... No one knows what's next, but everybody does it.
