Does anyone out there have a good filebase of abandonware doors, apps, uti for BBS? I have a few, like from the web and from /r/bbs but I was wonder if anyone actually had them accessible to download from a bbs.

I invite you on over to 2oFB; 20ForBeers.com:1337
We have the largest file archives on any BBS - you can check the
LocalZzZ File Conference's BBS Software File Area, and the Paulie's BBS Software Collection File Archive; which is a HUGE collection of MANY BBS archives.
Furthermore, use the search function to scan all 60+ File Conferences as they cover LOTS of retro goodness of all hardwares, OSes, etc...

One day soon I should pop over virtually and see about getting you setup with the flisterz mod I made, it was created with huge file collections
in mind.

You've already been awesome with the offers to help. Basically, I have a VERY simple fTelnet website setup for 2oFB - using the Mystic www server.
I just don't know how to add flisterz, but I need to. Its prolly not that tough... ChatGPT for the win??? :P
You just have to make sure your regular user level is the same
as in the .ini file (it's set for 50, change it to your board's regular user level if need be, this is to restrict file areas and groups set
with higher security levels for non-privileged users from being generated), drop all of the files in the package somewhere in your
script directory, like "scripts/flisterz/" and if you want to test it
just create a sysop-only menu item in the BBS somewhere that runs the
MPY.
It should just create everything needed immediately. Then just
follow the instructions about adding it to your Mystic events.
Had to check your tagline, you're running Linux, that's perfect.
I know - but I seriously think I
have it; 30TB of literal retro (and
Man, it took me soooooo long to get through a search for something I was looking for, and I finally found it!! but stupidly didn't download it right then, because my "marked downloads" were cleared on logout. Now
I'm dreading searching through all that again :).

Paulie can correct me if I'm wrong but there's also a master list of all the files you can download. Yo can download that text file and then grep it for what you're looking for at a later date.
LOL - I can always find things quick and easy @ 2oFB... I always just save FILENAME and then I can find it quick in the future. ;P Thats the key.

I was downloading some abandonware (DOS based) from 2oFB a couple o
nights ago and it might be 'just me' but I downloaded a batch download nights ago and it might be 'just me' but I downloaded a batch download with Y-modem batch using mTCP Telnet. The batch worked fine when the
files were in the same file base/group, but as soon as the files came
from another group, a data error occurred. What was more annoying is
that it cleared the entire list of marked downloads, not just the ones that had already been downloaded, so I had to remember what I marked all over again. Is this a bug in Mystic or is this something nuanced to
2oFB? Or do you think it's just mTtelnet?

Gosh - no, it was PROBABLY some file that doesn't exist in the file system some reason or another - I need to run a mutil file pack. :/

No worries. Just thought I'd let you know in case it really was an
issue. I tell you what, the stuff you have there is an absolute treasure trove, and it was lovely to be able to download real DOS software on
real DOS hardware!
I hope you don't stop uploading retro stuff to it, I downloaded loads of apps and games the other day and am slowly working my way through them!
